Before FlowState, I ran a plumbing and heating business for nearly 10 years. Like most trades businesses, it started simple - but as it grew, so did the problems. More jobs, more engineers, more admin, and more things slipping through the cracks.

What size business is this suitable for?

It works for solo engineers, small teams, and growing businesses. There's no real upper limit - the system is designed to scale with you.

Will this work for my type of work?

Yes. The system is designed specifically for plumbing and heating businesses, including boiler installs, breakdowns, servicing, remedial work, and quoting and follow-ups.

Can it be customised to my business?

Yes. The setup is based on a proven structure, but you can customise most areas to suit your business. There are a small number of protected elements to keep everything running correctly, but overall you have full control.

What makes this different from setting it up myself?

Is this completely done for me?

Is there a payment plan available?

Yes, payment plans are available at checkout through iwocaPay. You can spread the cost over 3 or 12 months - from £295.43/month (inc VAT).

What are the ongoing costs?

The only required ongoing cost is your ServiceM8 subscription - everything we build is designed to work on the Growing plan (around £59 per month). There may be optional costs such as SMS usage or add-ons, but these are entirely within your control.

Do I need to pay for ServiceM8 separately?

Yes, your ServiceM8 subscription is separate and paid directly to ServiceM8.

Is there a ServiceM8 rebate available?

Yes - there is currently a £1,000 ServiceM8 rebate available. This gives you 50% off your monthly subscription until the £1,000 credit is used. For example, if your plan is £59/month, you pay roughly £30 and ServiceM8 covers the rest. This continues until the full £1,000 is used.

What happens after I purchase?

Once you've completed your purchase:

  • You'll be added to our project queue (typically 3 to 4 weeks)
  • You'll complete a fact-find questionnaire so we can gather key information
  • Your system will be built and implemented (usually within 1 week)
  • We'll guide you through each step
Will this disrupt my current workflow?

In most cases, no. If you're not currently using a system like ServiceM8, this will feel like a major upgrade rather than a disruption. If you are switching from another system, there may be a short transition period, but we keep this as smooth as possible.

I'm already using another system - can I switch?

Yes. We can help you bring across key data such as customers, contact details, and addresses. Job history usually stays in your old system, so we recommend keeping access to it if needed.

How quickly will I see results?

Most customers start seeing improvements straight away - especially around organisation, communication, and reducing admin. The more consistently you and your team use the system, the faster the results compound.

This keeps the package price down for businesses that don't need it, and gives those that do a proper, ongoing resource.

What support do I get after setup?

Ongoing support and training is available through the ServiceM8 Support & Training Hub - a separate subscription that includes help desk support, a full training programme, and weekly live Q&A sessions. One-to-one support is also available if needed. We'll give you full details of the platform and its cost when we speak.

What devices does ServiceM8 work on?

ServiceM8 works in any web browser on any device. The app is designed primarily for Apple iOS - if you're the business owner managing the system, an iPhone or iPad gives you the best experience. A Lite version of the app is available for Android users, which works well for engineers in the field.
